There’s a lot going on at Canadian Guild of Knitters. In late May, I made my first blog posts for KNITmuch. The topic was knitting with Red Heart Super Saver yarn, with a view to creating a blanket of a country’s flag.
Within the last two weeks, I blogged a pattern (chart) for knitting a Canadian Flag. Already, this post has got some attention!

Cynthia’s knitted Canadian flag is just about 1/4 scale of the nylon flag above it. Zoey looks like she’s standing on guard for thee, but I’m pretty sure she’s just waiting for her dinner!
The Summer issue of A Needle Pulling Thread is out now, with patterns by Jennifer Grice, Sharon Mann, and myself, whose technical piece this time is about storage solutions for knitting needles. To obtain your copy of the summer issue, join Canadian Guild of Knitters.
One of my goals for 2016 was to update the Canadian Guild of Knitters’ website. Oh, my, but what a project this has become! Not only is the site being COMPLETELY transformed, my new webmaster/ taskmaster has amped-up our e-commerce section, which will transform renewal notices and how members access the Knitting Accreditation Program!
Part of this transformation is to update the blog, as well, so I’ve created this new blog on WordPress. In this, our first post on WordPress, I’ve decided to bring over my last post from Blogger.
