Welcome to Canadian Guild of Knitters' new website! I've been working on this for over a year with a team of techie people!
Before I go on, I want to give deep, abiding thanks to John DeFusco who has been working behind the scenes with my website since 2009. John has become quite the tech guru since he began publishing A Needle Pulling Thread magazine and creating The Needlework Pages, QuiltSocial and KNITmuch.
Working "alongside" John has been Alejandro, our long-distance tech help. Alejandro is a Venezuelan whose English is far better than my Spanish! Gracias, Alejandro!
Without these two men, I just don't know how I'd have managed this process. They regularly talked "technical circles" over my head, and I'm sure that if I'd had enough time to learn everything they talked about, I'd have much more than a new website - I'd have had a new "payment portal," new databases and new distribution methods for both memberships and Accreditation Program participants.
Alas, the old disparity between what the technicians can achieve and the customer's learning curve arose once more, and the result is this.
One of the things I'm most excited about is my new blog -- it's easy for me to manage, and I look forward to sharing more of my knitting life (and my non knitting life) with you.
Please take a browse through the new website, and if you come across any issues with it at all, let me know at once by e-mailing me through the contact page or even by phone!
